The Wave

…a mass of curving and swirling lines that meet and pass through each other in a churning witches’ brew of seething, dark paint in which, although they sometimes break off and deteriorate with unfinished ends, the essence of life is captured with the uncontrollable chaotic flow of existence, often of unlinearity and unpredictability, reflected in the painting by the dark colors seemingly swirling at a fast pace, sometimes even spilling out in random directions and breaking off in unexpected ways, but also the inevitably cyclic nature of life, the muted brush strokes curving towards each other and always meeting up with no distinct beginning or end but only a certain present, with time stretching out in all directions like the many lines and curves in the masterpiece, with each one the equivalent to a human life as they continue on in an endless circle, often captured in a gloomy, depressing shade of brown and gray but other times cheered with a splash of auspicious bright blue or effervescent lime green as varying emotions, sometimes broken off or spilled over as an unpredictable event that changes a life forever as of the rare occurrences worthy of being considered an ending or a beginning, while other times touching or merging with other lines as a person’s life touches so many others as he continues to be pushed through the endless cycle of life that cannot be cleanly separated into sections and parts but can only be appreciated as an endless sentence of breaks and hardships, merges and meetings, splotches and emotions, curves and decisions in a mass of curving and swirling lines that meet and pass through each other in a churning witches’ brew of seething, dark paint in which, although they sometimes break off and deteriorate with unfinished ends, the essence of life is captured… (cont.)
